Alcinda Reis is an integrated researcher of the NursID group, Thematic Line – Preventive Medicine and Societal Challenges of CINTESIS.

She finished a course in Nursing at the Nursing School of S. Vicente de Paulo in 1983 and the graduate course in Community Nursing at the Health School of the Polytechnic Institute of Santarem in 1998. She then earned her Master and Doctorate Degrees in Nursing Sciences from the University of Porto, in 2001 and 2014, respectively. In 2015, Alcinda Reis published the book “Da Multiculturalidade em Cuidados às Competências dos Enfermeiros” (From Multiculturalism in Caregiving to Nurses’ Competencies), while also publishing other works.

She is an Assistant Professor at the Health School of Santarem, where she has participated in several research lines. She is a researcher of the project “Modelo Dinâmico de Avaliação e Intervenção Familiar: uma ação transformativa em Cuidados de Saúde Primários” (Dynamic Model of Family Intervention and Evaluation: a transformative action in Primary Health Care), developed by CINTESIS/UNIESEP.
