António Bastos Leite is the Principal Investigator of the Research Group NeuroImag.

He graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto; finished the Specialization in Neuroradiology in 2004, and earned his Doctoral Degree in 2007 from the Vrije Universiteit (Netherlands).

He joined the faculty members of FMUP in 2008, in the quality of Assistant Professor of Radiology and Medical Image. The CINTESIS researcher is also a Neuroradiology Consultant at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (United Kingdom), and has been cumulatively nominated as Honorary Professor of the Institute of Neurology of the University College London (United Kingdom).

António Bastos-Leite is especially devoted to research in the field of neuroimaging in Dementia and Psychiatry, and is the author of more than 50 scientific publications and book chapters, and the co-author of the book Neuroimaging in Dementia, published by Springer in 2011.
