António Guerra is an integrated member of ProNutri, a Research group of CINTESIS.

He graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, and earned his Doctorate in Pediatrics from the same institution.

He is has authored of more than 10 book chapters in national editions and 6 book chapters in international editions. He has also published more than a hundred works in national and international journals and has presented near 500 oral communications in events in the field of Pediatrics.

He has been part of the Scientific and Organizing Committees of several scientific meetings and has won 20 awards, among which is the Pfizer Award to Clinical Research of 2009.

Currently, he is the Head of the Pediatrics Service and the Coordinator of the Nutrition Unit of the Pediatrics Department of the Hospital Center of São João, and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at FMUP.
