The research group BioData of CINTESIS, aims to increase scientific research related to data analysis and processing and to Biostatistics. The group’s objective is also to assess the application of more modern methods in areas such as clinical research and support to decision making in the field health care delivery.

Other purposes include the development of advance training programmes, especially with regards to health data analysis. Therefore, the purpose is to fill the gap that currently exists at the level of graduate professionals of the field.
