Carla Faria is an integrated researcher of the AgeingC group – AgeingCluster, of the Thematic Line 1 – Preventive Medicine & Societal Challenges, of CINTESIS.

She earned her Doctoral Degree in Psychology from the University of Minho in 2008, with a thesis entitled “Vinculação e desenvolvimento Epistemológico em Jovens Adultos” (Epistemological Linkage and Development in Young Adults). Previously, she had finished her postgraduate studies in Clinical Psychology at the University of Minho in 2004, and had graduated in Psychology from the same university in 1998.

Currently, she an Assistant Professor at the Higher School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo and her research interests are focused on the fields of Developmental Psychology and Psychological Development of Higher Education.
