Carmen Andrade is an integrated researcher of the NursID group, Thematic Line 1 – Preventive Medicine & Societal Challenges of CINTESIS.
She holds a Doctoral Degree in Nursing from the University of Lisbon, a Master in Education Sciences from the University of Azores and a Graduate Degree in Nursing from the Nursing School of Ponta Delgada. Carmen Andrade worked as a Nurse at the Hospital do Divino Espírito Santo. She specialised in Community Nursing and is a founder member of the Portuguese Society of Family Health Nursing.
Recently, her research work has focused on the field of technology applied to health, namely, on a project dedicated to the development of an application for mobile devices to support the management of medication regimen (Farmacil) and on a platform for supporting informal carers (Cuid@Web). Currently, she works as Assistant Professor of the Nursing School of Ponta Delgada, in Azores.
