Cristiane Pavanello Silva is an integrated researcher of the NursID group, Thematic Line 1 – Preventive Medicine and Societal Challenges of CINTESIS.

She studied Nursing and Obstetrics at the Nursing School of the University of São Paulo – USP (1986). She later earned her Master Degree in Adult Health (2005) and her Doctoral Degree in Health Sciences (2010) from the same institution. Currently, she is part of a post-doctoral programme of the Catholic University of Portugal – Regional Centre of Porto.

She authored and organised the book “Qualidade em Saúde e Indicadores como Ferramenta em Gestão” (Quality in Health and Indicators as Tools in Management) and was vice-president of the Infusion Nurse Society – INS Brazil from 2009 to 2011.

She is Adjunct Professor of the Higher School of Health of Santa Maria, in Porto.
