Cristina Imaginário is an integrated member of the research group NursID at CINTESIS.

She graduated in General Nursing in 1986 and earned her Degree in Medical-Surgical Nursing in 1999. She then proceeded to completing her Master and her Doctorate in Nursing Sciences at ICBAS/University of Porto in 2002 and 2018, respectively. She worked as a nurse at the Boticas Health Center and at the Chaves District Hospital. In 2000, she began teaching at the Vila Real Nursing School, becoming an assistant professor in 2003. She is the author of the book entitled “The Elderly Dependent in a Family Context” and has integrated several projects, including “Activities of daily living as predictors of cognitive status in institutionalized elderly”.

Currently, she works as adjunct professor at the Tras-os-Montes and Alto Douto Health School (UTAD) in Vila Real.
