Cristina Barroso Pinto is an integrated researcher of the NursID group, Thematic Line 1 – Preventive Medicine and Societal Challenges of CINTESIS.

She earned her Doctoral Degree from the University of Aveiro in 2011, her Master Degree in Bioethics from the University of Porto in 2001, and in 1997, her Graduate Degree in Nursing (Medical-Surgical Specialization) from the D. Ana Guedes Higher School of Nursing, where she later worked as an Assistant and then as an Adjunct Professor. As a Nurse she worked at the Hospital Centre of Vila Nova de Gaia/Espinho.

Currently, she is an Adjunct Professor of the Nursing School of Porto (ESEP) and a researcher in the fields of Education and Ethical Thinking of Nursing.
