Diogo Pestana is an integrated researcher of research group ProNutri of CINTESIS.

He graduated in Biology from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP), finished his Master in Biology from the same faculty and defended his Doctorate in Metabolism – Clinical and Experimental, at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP).

He works full-time as a scientific researcher and university professor. Diogo Pestana has been involved in several financed projects, among which the most notable was his participation in IoGeneration –  a project financed with more than 400 thousand euros.

He has published more than 30 scientific articles; participated in several national and international scientific events; and worked as consultant for the Directorate-General of Health, of the Portuguese Ministry of Health.

Currently, he holds a postdoctoral fellowship at the NOVA Medical School – Faculty of Medical Sciences Nova University of Lisbon
