Elisa Keating is a the Principal Investigator of the ProNutri research group of CINTESIS.

She graduated in Biochemistry from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP), and earned her Doctoral Degree in Human Biology from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP).

She began her academic and scientific career in 1999, at FMUP, as a monitor. From 2008 to 2013 she held a position as a post-doctoral fellow at FMUP and was guest researcher at the Catholic University of Portugal.

Elisa Keating has more than fifteen years of experience in the field of scientific research during which she has actively participated in national and international scientific events. She has published more than 30 scientific articles, some of which in top-level journals, and is the author of six book chapters.

She has integrated more than ten financed scientific projects, among which the most notable was IoGeneration, financed in more than 400 thousand euros.

Currently, she is Guest Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, and a member of the Pedagogical Council of that institution.
