Hélia Maria da Silva Dias is an integrated researcher of the NursID group, Thematic Line 1 – Preventive Medicine and Societal Challenges of CINTESIS.
She graduated in Nursing from the University of Evora (specialized in Maternal and Obstetric Health), earned her Master Degree in Sexology from the Lusofona University, and her Doctoral Degree in Nursing from the Catholic University of Portugal.
She worked as a graduate Nurse until 1994 when she assumed a position of Assistant Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Santarem – Higher School of Health. Currently, she is sub-director of that institution. Her research activity focusses mainly on the promotion of health at school and on sexual education.
