Inês Dutra is a Principal Investigator of the research group AI4Health – Artificial Intelligence in Health, Thematic Line 3 – Health Data and Decision Sciences & Information Technologies of CINTESIS.

She is a Doctor in Computer Science from the University of Bristol (1995). Inês Dutra began her academic career at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro where she carried out her undergraduate studies, earned her Master Degree, and eventually lectured from 1998 to 2007. From 2001 to 2005 she was also a researcher at the Department of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics of the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the United States of America. She has extensive experience in the areas of artificial intelligence and computer systems.

Currently, she is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, and a member of the Pedagogical Council and of the Scientific Committee of the Master Program in Computer Science.
