Isilda Ribeiro is an integrated researcher of the NursID group, Thematic Line 1 – Preventive Medicine & Societal Challenges of CINTESIS.

She graduated in Nursing, is a Master in Psychiatry and Mental Health from the University of Porto, and earned her Doctoral Degree in Education Sciences from the Lusofona University. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor at the Nursing School of Porto (ESEP).

Isilda Ribeiro has occupied several positions in different direction bodies in Nursing education-related Higher Educations Institutions.

Her focus of research is on the fields of Mental Health, Nursing, Psychotherapeutic Modalities, Self-care, Informal carers, Depression, Signs and symptoms management, Therapeutic regime management, Mentorship and Education of young and adults.  At the moment, she is participating in three projects: one in the field of Nursing Education and two in the field of Mental Health.

She is a member of the Editorial Committee of the Revista Portuguesa de Enfermagem de Saúde Mental (Portuguese Journal of Nursing and Mental Health).
