João Costa Leite is an integrated member of the research group ProNutri at CINTESIS.
He graduated in Nutrition from the University of Porto in 2007 and earned his Doctorate in Human Nutrition from the University College Dublin, in Ireland, in 2013 with a research work on physical activity strategies to improve the metabolic health of the elderly. As a researcher, he has worked in IoGeneration – Iodine State in Portugal: role of supplementation in school units, a CINTESIS project funded by the EEA Grants. In 2018, he served as scientific manager at the European Commission at the Joint Research Center (JRC) in the field of Nutrition in Public Health.
Since 2018 he works as assistant professor of the University Fernando Pessoa.
