Lígia Lima is an integrated member of the NursID Group of CINTESIS, based at the Nursing School of Porto.

She graduated in Psychology, earned her Master Degree in Health Education and Health Promotion from the Leeds Metropolitan University in the UK; and obtained her Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Porto in 2005.

She has developed several projects, namely in the field of ​​smoking prevention (such as the “Cigarette Hunt Club”, the “Teacher training in smoking education”, or the “ENYPAT – European Network Against Tobacco”), and self-management of chronic disease. She has published several books and book chapters on topics like influenza pandemic and group intervention in health.

She is currently a Coordinating Professor at ESEP.
