Researchers from Porto are developing computer applications that allow for the remote monitoring of disease process and treatment of chronically ill patients, while also providing this information to health care services if necessary.
Through these applications, the patient’s adherence to treatment over time, symptoms and possible complications, as well as other health indicators associated with the disease will be monitored, said Célia Santos, a CINTESIS researcher and professor at ESEP, to the LUSA Agency.
