Maria João Tinoco da Costa Azevedo is an integrated researcher of the AgeingC group of CINTESIS, at the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences of the University of Porto (ICBAS-UP).

She holds a Doctorate in Gerontology and Geriatrics from the University of Porto, is a Graduate in Psychology from the University of Minho, and a specialist in Clinical and Health Psychology and Psycho-Pathology.

Maria João Azevedo is a researcher in the field of ​Ageing, where she has developed intervention projects in the community. Currently, she integrates the Project Symbiotic technology for societal efficiency gains – Deus Ex Machina (DeM).
