Maria Manuela Ferreira Pereira da Silva Martins is an integrated member of the research group NursID of CINTESIS, and a Coordinating Professor at the Nursing School of Porto (ESEP).
She holds a Doctorate in Nursing Science from the University of Porto and completed several postgraduate courses, including an MBA in Nursing Services Administration at ESEP.
She is the researcher responsible for the project “Promotion of family health throughout the life cycle and transitions (Health Promotion in Family Transitions)”.
She has received several awards and distinctions throughout her career. In 2017, she was honored with the Homenagem no Feminino MLA 2017 – Movimento Lírio Azul (a tribute paid to women by a Portuguese civic movement named Blue Lily). She has published books, several book chapters and near a hundred scientific articles.
