Nuno Borges is an integrated member of the Research group ProNutri of CINTESIS.

He graduated in Nutrition Sciences from the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences of the University of Porto (FCNAUP), and earned his Doctoral Degree in Human Biology from the Faculty of Medicine of the same university.

Nuno Norges has published more than one hundred scientific articles, and has a special interest in the field of the drug-nutrient interaction, namely in elderly.

He has participated in several scientific projects in the field of Nutrition, among which the most notable was his participation in Nutrition UP65 – a project that aimed to reduce nutritional inequalities in the Portuguese elderly population.

Currently, he is an Associate Professor of the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences of the University of Porto (FCNAUP) and President of the Scientific Council of that institution. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Associação Portuguesa dos Nutricionista (Portuguese Society of Nutritionists) and Director of the journal Acta Portuguesa de Nutrição.
