Olga Sousa Valentim is an integrated member of the research group NursID – Innovation & Development in Nursing at CINTESIS.

She earned her Doctorate in Nursing from the Catholic Portuguese University in Lisbon. Previously, she had completed her studies in Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies at the Lusófona University of Humanity and Technology; and her Degree in Nursing at the Nursing School Francisco Gentil. She is a specialist in Mental and Psychiatric Health Nursing.

Since February 2018, she is President of the Health School Atlântica (ESSTLA), and an assistant professor at that institution and at the Portuguese Catholic University.

As a researcher she has published works and papers in specialized journals, mainly in the fields of alcoholism, as well as book chapters. Since 2018, she works as collaborator in the project Literacy and Positive Mental Health.
