Otília Freitas is an integrated member of the research group NursID of CINTESIS, and works at the University of Madeira (UMa).
She earned her Doctorate in Nursing Sciences from the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences of the University of Porto with a thesis about the effects of massage on premature babies. She is the author of the book “Effects of Massage on the Newborn”, published in 2014. She is a Nurse specialized in Rehabilitation, and trained at Tiffany Field’s Touch Research Institute in Miami, USA.
She is currently a Coordinating Professor at the Health Technology Competence Center of the UMa.
