Pedro Alberto Pereira is an integrated member of the NeuroGen research group of CINTESIS.

In 2011, he earned his Doctoral Degree in Biomedicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP), where he also took his Pedagogical Aptitude Test in Morphology. Previously, he had graduated from the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences of the University of Porto.

He is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Anatomy of FMUP and a Professor of the Theoretical, Practical and Continuing Education Courses on Complementary Laboratory Techniques of Research and Diagnosis. He researches in the Neurosciences, Cell Biology, Pharmacology, Toxicology and Pharmacology areas.
