Development of a COVID-19 Risk Scale

The project entitled “Development of a COVID-19 risk scale through a Monte Carlo probabilistic R&D analysis in order to provide the Hospital de Ovar with contingency plans adapted for Pandemic case management” was one of the winners of the RESEARCH4COVID19 initiative , promoted by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).

The project is coordinated by Ricardo Cruz Correia and it aims to create a risk scale that allows determining the risk of infection with the new coronavirus (SARS-CoV2). The tool should be used in hospitals of the National Health Service, starting with the Hospital Dr. Francisco Zagalo, in Ovar, one of the municipalities in the country most affected by the pandemic.
