The number of sunburns increased despite the improvement of the Portuguese sun exposure habits.
Porto Canal was at CINTESIS to listen to the researcher Filipa Duarte, who recently earned her doctoral degree from the Doctoral Program in Clinical and Health Services Research – PDICSS, at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, and who is responsible for these conclusions.
In the report, the researcher urges the Portuguese to avoid the hours of greater radiation, to protect themselves with clothes, hat and glasses and to look for shadows, besides using sunscreen with index higher than 30.
