A CINTESIS research group has developed a new tool that helps in the triage of asthma. Ana Sá Sousa, one of the researchers of this team was interviewed at the show “Mentes que Brilham“, of the Porto Canal, in relation with these new questionnaires. The objective is to identify the cases with the greater chances of suffering from asthma and refer these patients to specialized consultations, allowing their diagnosis and treatment.
The work is based on the evaluation of data collected from more than 700 adults, with and without asthma from all over the country, and has produced an article published at The Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology: In Practice – one of the most important scientific journals in the field of allergy.
