Specialists from CINTESIS – Center for Health Technology and Services Research and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP) advocate the need for more detailed and reliable data on COVID-19 in Portugal.

Speaking to SIC, João Fonseca and Pedro Pereira Rodrigues explain the problems with the data made available by the authorities, which are susceptible to errors. They even say that these data give only a “poor” representation of reality and that they should not support the strategies that must be taken.

Another essential point is the training of health professionals who will have to intervene in the pandemic. “Voluntarism” is not recommended.
