We must continue to increase the number of tests and identify as many contacts as possible, even if asymptomatic, warned Bernardo Sousa Pinto, from CINTESIS and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP), in an interview with Rádio Renascença.

An online tool developed by a group of researchers from CINTESIS/FMUP, in which he is included, estimates the savings that arise from the increase in tests, including the costs of admissions to the National Health Service, particularly in intensive care.

The simulator is available online and was featured in the May issue of the WHO Bulletin.
