“Increasing the testing capacity for Covid-19 can prevent new cases of infection, prevent further hospitalizations, improve resource management and save millions of euros for the National Health Service.
The conclusions are from a group of researchers from CINTESIS – Center for Health Technology and Services Research and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP).
The study now released shows that it is “urgent” to triple the number of tests performed as a measure to combat infection by the new coronavirus in Portugal.
