Intermittent fasting and other “fad diets”: yes or no?

The magazine Sábado listened to Conceição Calhau, a researcher at CINTESIS – Center for Health Technology and Services Research and professor at the NOVA Medical School – Faculty of Medical Sciences, about what the new “digital influencers” say.

The specialist warns of the consequences of these diets on the “normal functioning of the body”. Furthermore, she draws attention to the misinterpretations that have been made, for example, about the famous intermittent fasting.

“Fasting should be done at night. It is already more than demonstrated that not having breakfast has negative consequences and further increases weight. People misinterpret the information”, she says.

Pay attention to this warning.
