Manuel Gonçalves Pinho explained in an interview with SIC that electroconvulsive therapy is effective and indicated in certain cases, despite the stigma that is still associated with it.
The researcher from CINTESIS – Center for Health Technologies and Services Research and from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP) revealed the main findings of a study of his authorship that indicates the number of patients who have undergone this technique in recent years.
