Ana Sofia da Quinta e Costa Neves de Oliveira Morais is a researcher of the MicroMed research group at CINTESIS.

She holds a Doctoral Degree in Biomedicine and a Master Degree in Epidemiology and Public Health from the University of Porto. Previously, she had begun her education and training at the School of Biotechnology of the Portuguese Catholic University studying the undergraduate course in Microbiology.

She is CSO and co-founder of FASTinov, a spin-off from CINTESIS and the University of Porto, and an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto. In 2016, she was awarded the GIS / Astellas Research Grant in Medical Mycology. Her research has focused on the mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance and she is currently focused on developing new ways of treating fungal infections.
