Victor Viana is an integrated member of the research group ProNutri of CINTESIS

He graduated in Psychology from the Faculty of Psychology and Education Science of the University of Porto (FPCEUP). He has a Master in Developmental Psychology, and in Communication and Speech Rehabilitation; and earned his Doctoral Degree in Nutrition Science, in the field of eating habits from the University of Porto.

He began his career as Professor of the Instituto Superior de Ciências da Saúde – Norte (Higher Institute of Health Sciences – North), where he worked during ten years, before it was converted into the Cooperativa de Ensino Superior, Politécnico e Universitário (CESPU, cooperative for higher, polytechnic and university education).

His research interests focus on the fields of Intervention in Psychology, Child and Adolescent Psychopathology and Intervention Models in Health Psychology. He has published several scientific research articles.

Currently, he is an Associate Professor of FCNAUP, a Psychologist of the Psychiatry Service of the Hospital Center of S. João – Porto, and a researcher in the field of Eating Habits and Health Psychology.
