Liliana Xavier Marques de Sousa is an integrated member of the AgeingC research group of CINTESIS, at the University of Aveiro, where she has been working as an Associate Professor with Aggregation since 2004.
She holds a Doctorate in Education Sciences from the University of Aveiro, and a Graduate Degree and a Master Degree in Psychology from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra.
Liliana Sousa was Pro-Rector of the University of Aveiro, besides having held several university management positions. She combines her teaching activities with research, having coordinated the Permanent Observatory for Social Development (2000-2004). Among the awards she has received there is the Dr. Rocha Alves Award to research on cancer prevention of the Portuguese League against Cancer.
