Henriqueta Ilda Verganista Martins Fernandes is an integrated member of the NursID Research Group of CINTESIS, and an Assistant Professor at the Nursing School of Porto (ESEP).
She holds a Doctorate in Education earned from the Lusofona University in 2011, a Master Degree in Nursing Sciences from the University of Porto, and a Graduate Degree in Nursing with a specialization in Child and Pediatric Health Nursing from the Nursing School of Porto.
She was a professor at the Nursing School D. Ana Guedes, Chief Nurse at the Hospital Pedro Hispano, and a Specialist Nurse at the IPO of Porto. She has published several articles, book chapters and books, and won the first prize of the National Meeting of Family Health Units – Motivate, Innovate and Design, in 2011. She is a member of several professional and scientific associations, such as the Portuguese Society of Pediatrics; and a founder member of the Portuguese Society of Oncology Nursing.
