Isabel Bica is an integrated researcher of the NursID group, Thematic Line 1 – Preventive Medicine & Societal Challenges of CINTESIS.

She earned her Doctoral Degree in Nursing Sciences from the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences (University of Porto) with the thesis “Qualidade de vida relacionada com a saúde oral em adolescentes” (Quality of life related to oral health in adolescents). Previously, she had graduated in General Nursing from the Higher School of Health of Viseu, and had earned her Master in Family and Social Systems from the Miguel Torga Institute.

She has authored near thirty articles published in specialized journals. Likewise, she is the authors of 4 book chapters in the fields of Child and Adolescent Health, Family Health, Oral and Community Health, among others.

Currently, she is as Assistant Professor at the health School of the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu.
