Nilza Nogueira is an integrated member of the research group NursID of CINTESIS, based at the Nursing School of Porto (ESEP).
She earned her Doctorate in Nursing Sciences from the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences, in 2012, and her Master degree in Public Health from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, in 2004. Her core training as nurse was at the Nursing School Ana Guedes. She also took several training courses and her professional activity takes place at the IPO of Porto and scientific production.
In 2015, she was appointed by the Portuguese Order of Nurses as member of the work group for the Prevention and intervention in adults’ and elders’ falls of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS by its Portuguese acronym). She is a founder member of the National Association of Palliative Care.
She currently works as an Assistant Professor and is a member of the General Council at ESEP.
