Matilde Soares is an integrated member of the EvidenS&HTA Research Group, Thematic Line 3 – Health Data and Decision Sciences & Information Technologies, CINTESIS.
She graduated in Podology, completed the Master Programme in Health Evidence and Decision at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, and recently defended her thesis “Clinical decision rules applied to diabetic foot ulceration: prediction, prevention and prognostic assessment”, in the framework of the Doctoral Program in Clinical Research and Health Services of the same institution.
In the course of her training, she undertook several complementary courses at the University of Cambridge and the VU University of Amsterdam. She worked at the Diabetic Foot Clinic of the Hospital Center of Vila Nova de Gaia-Espinho and was a postdoctoral fellow of the NanoSTIMA project. She is the author of numerous scientific articles published in specialized journals and is a member of several national and international scientific societies.
Currently, she is an Assistant Teacher at MEDCIDS – Department of Community Medicine, Health Information and Decision (MEDCIDS in Portuguese) of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP)
