CINTESIS – Center for Health Technology and Services Research, supported by ScaleUp Porto, organizes the event “BISTAS LARGAS – PARA VER MAIS DO QUE O ÓBVIO”, three sessions scheduled for September 14, 21 and 28, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Casa do Infante in Porto.
The objective is to deepen knowledge and improve skills in key areas such as the protection of intellectual property rights such as trademarks and patents, the marketing and internationalization requirements of medical devices and the strategic importance of communication in the information society.
The first session, scheduled for September 14, will be about Intellectual Property and will have as a partner UPIN – U.Porto Innovation. The presence of representatives of the Porto City Council, of a Creative Commons Portugal official, and of several companies, including IS4Health, FASTinov and Sphere, as well as national and European patent and trademark experts, have been confirmed.
The second session will take place on September 21 and it will be dedicated to the Regulation/Certification of Medical Devices in partnership with Fraunhofer/MDevNet. The session, which is part of the 3rd Work Meeting of this national network of knowledge transfer, will include the participation of officials from INFARMED – National Authority of Medicines and Health Products, I.P., APORMED – Portuguese Association of Medical Devices Enterprises, Health Cluster Portugal, CCG – Centre for Computer Graphics, and HealPro.
The third and last session will take place on September 28. Dedicated to Communication, it will be hosted by speakers from the Media Relations and Digital Marketing & Strategy of CINTESIS, of ANI – Portuguese National Innovation Agency, and of ESEP – Nursing School of Porto, as well as journalists from Global Media Play, one of the largest media groups in Portugal (owner of brands together with JN, DN and TSF).
The event “BISTAS LARGAS” is an initiative of CINTESIS, selected in the second edition of the ScaleUp Porto Open Call, which intends to put together entrepreneurs, economy agents, entities of the R&I system, governmental institutions, professionals from the scientific and technological system and other stakeholders in the development of any business wanting to thrive in a modern, competitive and globalized market, allowing the establishment of networks and the potentiation of synergies to promote new ideas and valuing innovation.
