Applications are open until January 20th for the 4th edition of BLICS – Blended Learning Introduction to Clinical Studies, a clinical research course of the Department of Community Medicine, Health Information and Decision (MEDCIDS) of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto held in collaboration with CINTESIS – Center for Health Technology and Services Research.
Aimed primarily at healthcare professionals from different fields and other relevant professionals, BLICS encompasses core competencies in research methodology (from bibliography to study design), biostatistics (from theory to data analysis practice) and scientific article writing (from review to publication).
Classes will be theoretical-practical and students will be able to watch online (with live broadcast) or in person. Teaching materials will be provided (class slides, practical exercises, handouts and supplementary bibliography), as well as federated access to the software such as SPSS and Endnote. There is also the possibility of enrollment in specific modules. The number of vacancies is limited.
