Lusa // The Faculty of Medicine of Porto Studies Mortality Among Health Professionals

The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP) announced the beginning of a scientific study that aims to assess morbidity and mortality among health professionals, during the COVID-19 pandemic in Portugal, reports the LUSA Agency.

“The project aims to pay a deserved tribute to all those who sacrificed themselves in this pandemic, sometimes risking their own lives, for the treatment of the patients who resorted to them”, said Altamiro da Costa Pereira, director of FMUP and also the coordinator of CINTESIS – Center for Health Technology and Services Research.
