The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP) and CINTESIS – Center for Health Technology and Services Research are organizing the Summer School 2020, which will take place from September 1st to October 9th.
In this edition, the Summer School covers a wide list of courses, workshops, and webinars in different areas of Research Methodology, Data Science and Biostatistics, General and Family Medicine, Bioethics, Health Management, and the History of Medicine.
Applications are open until August 5th and available courses include HL7 / FHIR, Microsoft excel applied to the treatment of biomedical data, History of the surgical instrument, Introduction to the analysis of biomedical data using R, Introduction to health care management based on value, Update on pharmacovigilance, medical statistics, and Health data analysis: from theory to practice.
The Summer School workshops will cover topics as diverse as vaccination, data analysis, systematic reviews, health ethics commissions, writing and publishing scientific articles, mapping evidence, health and aging, access to health information, diabetes and management of bibliographic references.
The webinars will focus on applying for and obtaining funding for research projects, pharmacovigilance, thesis writing, palliative care, signal and image in Medicine, diagnosis, and disease.
Registration for the workshops and webinars takes place up to 15 days before the date of the workshop. In the case of webinars, registration is free.
The Summer School is an initiative of MEDCIDS – Department of Community Medicine, Information and Decision in Health at FMUP.
