A study by CINTESIS – Center for Health Technology and Services Research and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP) has detected a number of problems in the epidemiological surveillance data of COVID-19 made available by the Directorate-General for Health to scientists.
Cristina Santos (CINTESIS/FMUP), the first author of the work that has now been published, explained to the newspaper Público the importance of the quality of these data, not only for research but for the decision making and good management of the current pandemic.
