A new study strengthens “the importance that a good control of rhinitis represents for students, as well as the need to better inform patients about the most effective treatments available to fight the symptoms”.
The statement is from Bernardo Sousa-Pinto, a CINTESIS researcher and professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP), about the research of which he is the author, published in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology: In Practice.
The conclusions of this work indicate that “more than a third of the participants lost at least one hour per week of study or school activities due to allergic disease.
