Ana Luísa Neves is an integrated researcher of the PrimeCare group, Thematic Line 1 – Preventive Medicine and Societal Challenges of CINTESIS.

In 2006, she graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP), where she also completed her Master studies about the pathophysiology of the cardiovascular disease. Between 2013 and 2014, she took the Graduate Program in Basic and Applied Biology – GABBA of the U.Porto and, in 2017, she earned her Doctoral Degree in Clinical Medicine from the Imperial College London.

During the last years she has won several awards and honours, such as the 2nd place won at a renowned entrepreneurial contest sponsored by the Imperial College London. As a Medical Doctor, she has worked as a volunteer in many African countries, namely, Senegal, Guinea-Bissau and Mozambique.

Currently, she works as a volunteer at the NGO Doctors of the World in the United Kingdom. She is a voluntary Professor of the Department of Community Medicine, Health Information and Decision – MEDCIDS, at FMUP, and an Associate Researcher of the Imperial College London.
