Ana Isabel Silva Dias is an integrated researcher of the research group MicroMed of CINTESIS.
Since her graduation in Biology from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, she has worked in the field of clinical microbiology. She earned her Master Degree from the same university and in 2009 received a doctoral scholarship from the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) to continue her studies on the mechanisms of microorganisms’ virulence. She completed her Doctorate at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto in 2013.
Currently, she continues to research on antimicrobial resistance mechanisms, and is interested in areas such as Microbiology-related Cytometry and the Mechanisms of Resistance and Virulence of the Candida glabatra.
