Registration is now open for another edition of the do BLICS – B-Learning Introduction to Clinical Studies, a course with the seal of the Department of Community Medicine, Health Information and Decision of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (MEDCIDS / FMUP), which has the support of CINTESIS.
After two very successful editions, BLICS will return from March to May 2019, with three modules: Research Methodology: from bibliography to study design (March 29 to April 6), Biostatistics: from theory to practice of analysis (from April 12 to 27) and Elaboration of a scientific article: from analysis to publication (from May 3 to 11).
Credited by the University of Porto with 6 ECTS, BLICS is essentially directed at internal physicians and specialists, medical students, pharmacists and other health professionals or with relevance in this area.
The course will be taught in b-learning mode, and students can attend classes online, live, or in person. These will have a theoretical-practical nature. Teaching material will be available, as well as access to bibliographic reference management and data analysis software (EndNote and SPSS). Classes will take place on Fridays (17:00 – 20:00) and on Saturdays (9:00 -13:00 hours).
Those interested can enroll in the complete course or only in some modules. The number of places available is limited (maximum of 20 admissions for the in-class modality), and participants must register online from December 1, 2018 to February 17, 2019.
