Carla Cerqueira is an integrated member of the research group NursID – Innovation & Development in Nursing at CINTESIS.
She earned her Master and Doctorate Degree in Nursing Sciences from the University of Porto, in 2009 and 2018, respectively. Previously, in 1999 she earned her Nursing degree from the Portuguese Catholic University. She worked for several years as a nurse at the Portuguese Institute of Oncology (IPO) of Porto.
She is an assistant professor at the Nursing School of Porto (ESEP), where she has been teaching since 2005. She is a member of the Nursing Clinical Reasoning Education – 3D Simulation (NuCRE-3DS) project. Her main research fields include Family Nursing and the experience of caring for a child with cancer.
