Applications are now open for the LINKS project – Lifting Interprofessional Knowledge through Simulation, run by researchers from CINTESIS/Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP) and the Nursing School of Porto (ESEP).

This project will analyze students’ behaviors and attitudes in an interprofessional context, and at the same time promote the development of non-technical skills and teamwork in undergraduate education.

The researchers will be recruiting volunteers among final-year medical and nursing students until December 15. Participants will join teams made up of medical and nursing students and will have the chance to act out immersive clinical simulation scenarios as part of the LINKS Workshop.

This workshop will be held in two stages (in the first quarter and the second quarter of this academic year), on dates to be agreed, and will promote the training of non-technical skills and collaborative practices in two different simulation scenarios. Each will last four hours (from 15h00 to 19h00). Evaluation will take place before and after the workshop, by recording the performances and applying questionnaires and checklists. All data is confidential.

The first workshop will take place in January 2024, and you can choose a preferred date by filling in the form.

Registration is limited to 36 medical and 36 nursing students and 8 people per workshop.
