Constança Paúl is a researcher of CINTESIS integrated in the research groups Charter and AgeingC.
She graduated from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto (FPCEUP), and earned her PhD in Biomedical Sciences, in the area of Psychology, from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences Abel Salazar (ICBAS), where she is currently Professor and Director of the Department of Behavioral Sciences.
Constança Paúl is the Director of the University of Porto and the University of Aveiro joint Doctoral Program in Gerontology and Geriatrics, and she coordinates the 50+ Service Center (a specialized service in aging, which guarantees a personalized service provided by specialists in the fields of psychology, gerontology and health).
She was head of the UNIFAI Research Unit – Research and Training Unit for Adults and Seniors, currently integrated in CINTESIS, with a great deal of experience in the execution of international European projects.
Since the 1990s, she has regularly published international and national articles and chapters in scientific journals and books on Health Psychology and Ageing topics.
She is currently leading the European project ActiveAdvice.
